As stress is prevalent in today’s society, we find ourselves in constant pursuit of relief from its effects on our minds and bodies. Too often we allow ourselves to react out of habit, triggering stress instead of responding consciously and resulting in a lesser impact to our well-being. Research has shown the positive effects of exercise and meditation to address the symptoms of stress and now there is evidence to support similar results with the use of therapeutic sound. Left unchecked, stress can manifest in the body as physical illness. Therapeutic sound, by itself or combined with other holistic modalities, offers an engaging and effective approach to neutralize the effects of stress. Learn about the historical pioneers in the field of therapeutic sound and how their work has led to cutting edge technologies available today. Participate in group exercises utilizing singing bowls, tuning forks, breath work and voice to achieve noticeable results.
