Help Promote Interest in the Profession within the Region
We would like to extend a volunteer opportunity that is available within our chapter: AVP of Finance. See a brief description and information on how to apply below. We're hoping to find a candicate to run for the upcoming chapter elections which are scheduled to start on October 17th. If you're interested, please send your application at your earliest convenience. We're also looking for volunteers to help with different chapter activities.
We are committed to working with each volunteer to build a mutually beneficial relationship in which each volunteer can use their strengths, passion and dedication to not only benefit the profession and Columbus, GA Chapter, but to positively enhance your own personal and professional life as well.
There are many benefits of becoming a member of our Chapter Board of Directors such as the ability to earn additional PDUs, network with colleagues, giving back to the community and promote interest of the profession within the region, just to name a few. The only pre-requisites for this position are to be a PMI member and local chapter member in good standing. Since this position do not require a PMP certification, it's okay if you don't have one just yet.
A brief description of the role:
Assistant Vice President of Finance (Treasurer): The AVP of Finance will work closely with the VP of Finance. Dual roles are intended to protect each officer from mishandling funds whether from intentional or negligent actions. Duties are to be shared so that no individual has complete and exclusive control of funds, and that full and transparent financial reporting can be provided to the Board or chapter members upon call.
