About the Speakers
Tom Yanoschik, PMP, PgMP
Tom Yanoschik served 21 years in the United States Army in the Field Artillery and as a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) for Latin America. Among the units he served with were the 82nd Airborne Division, the 3rd Ranger Battalion, and the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (during Operation Iraqi Freedom I). As a FAO, he graduated from the Republic of Uruguay’s Command and General Staff Officer Course. In the thirteen years since he retired from the Army, he has served as the Site Manager for the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) workforce at MSB. He holds a bachelors degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Besides earning his PgMP and PMP, Tom is a Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional and holds a Certificate in Wargaming from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Chuck Bowling, PMP, PgMP
Chuck Bowling enlisted in the Georgia Army National Guard before receiving his commission as an Infantry Officer; along with a Bachelors in History from Columbus College. After leading a Mechanized Infantry Platoon at Fort Benning, he served as a Company Executive Officer—and later the Battalion Operations Officer—at the U.S. Army Airborne School. Transitioning into civilian life, he earned a Masters of Public Administration from Columbus State University before joining TSYS as a Business Analyst in 2001. Soon transitioning into Project Management, he had the opportunity to manage projects and programs of increasing complexity on behalf of TSYS’ largest clients—most notably JP Morgan Chase and Capital One. He earned his PMP in 2006, and the PgMP in 2016. Now at Auburn University, he is establishing a Portfolio Management model in support of the Auburn Alumni Association and the Auburn University Foundation.
